A Snowless Christmas in Michigan...

We left sunny Southern California on Thursday, December 21st and traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan where we spent 10 days with Matt's family. We thought we'd encounter frosty winds and piles of snow but the temperature hovered around 60 degrees the entire time we were there. We were privilaged to spend time with many, many friends and relatives including Great Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Jet lag and unfamiliar faces didn't stop Emma from having the time of her life. She LOVED hanging out with everyone and especially LOVED her first Christmas. Here she is in her special "Emma Claus" outfit that Grammy bought her. She hammed it up for the camera as usual...

Emma got to try out her "Big-Girl Skills" by sitting in a chair that used to be Matt's. As you can see, she has Daddy, Grandpa and Uncle Phil wrapped around her little finger!

Emma had a great time reading stories with Grandma! Isn't our "little dear" precious?!?

Holidays are synonomous with BIG MEALS which means Emma was in heaven! Check out that Christmas Dinner all over her face!

We spent one evening enjoying a delicious meal at the Redner home (family of our sister-in-law, Brooke). Emma loved cuddling and playing with her honorary Aunt Paige. The Redners gave Emma some special Christmas gifts including a Little Tykes barn and a talking Pooh Bear. She LOVES her new toys and can often be seen crawling around clutching one of the Little Tykes horses or cows in her hand.
