Some of our very good friends, Brad and Missy Griffin, have 2 adorable daughters: 3-year-old Anna and 9-month-old Kara. This morning at church, Anna got to show off her "big sister skills" by holding Emma for the first time. She did a WONDERFUL job and was all smiles. Her mom informed us that one of Anna's favorite playtime activities since Emma's birth is to play house. Her doll is "Baby Emma" and Anna is "Sarah". Anna is one of the first kids we got to know well in California and we pray that little Emma will grow up to be as loving, joyful and charming as her honorary "Big Sister", Anna.

does anyone notice how gigantic Emma looks in Anna's arms? Is she that big already, or am i experiencing a textbook example of perspective?
It's part perspective...the other part is the fact that Anna isn't terribly big herself (she's only 3). Of course, Emma is growing SO MUCH these days...she really is a lot bigger than she used to be!
