This morning we were treated to a wonderful baby shower celebration hosted by our dear friends, Eric and Natalie Herron. In attendance were many of the people we consider our "California Family". It was a really special time of great conversation and laughter. In addition, we were once again blown away by the generosity of people...both in offering emotional support and in showering us with baby gifts. We had a delightful time and are once again reminded of what a blessing friends are.
Following the shower, we spent the remainder of our Saturday getting everything we could possibly need for our baby daughter. We had a great time pooling the gift cards we've received these past 8 months and buying out the remainder of our registries at Target and Babies-R-Us. In addition, we unpacked all of the goodies we received from baby showers, put the car seat in the car, finished packing for the hospital and put the final touches on the nursery. The trick now is for Baby Girl Visser to hang on so that her Mom can be as prepared as possible at work. Looks like it will be a busy week!
