More hospital pics...

We wanted to include some additional photos of our hospital adventure. These were taken by Sarah's parents...

This was probably the hardest part of the entire 6 days...when we first got to the hospital, we spent 9 hours in the ER waiting for a bed to become available in the pediatric ward. During those 9 hours, we had to hold Emma on our laps on a gurney and keep an oxygen mask held tightly to her face...not a small feat with an almost-one-year-old. Still, she was in a excellent spirits!

Emma spent most of her time in the hospital hanging out in this oxygen tent. At first, she thought it was some sort of fortress for her to play in. By the end of her time there, she had figured out how to get out of it all on her own!

We were SO blessed to have Sarah's parents, "Grammy & Papa" in town while Emma was hospitalized. They were a huge help and Emma appreciated the extra time with them...

Emma loved taking walks in the pediatric ward. She practiced her walking and waved at all of the doctors and nurses. She also made friends with other kids who were staying in her wing.
