Some of our dearest friends, Dennis & Karen Baker, packed their bags and set off today on a journey that will take them all the way across the country for the next 3 years. Dennis is pursuing an MFA in acting at Rutgers in New Jersey and Karen will be working as a nurse at a hospital in their new community. It was really hard to say goodbye to them...though it helps knowing that they plan to return to Cali as soon as Dennis is done with grad school. We're excited for them as they set out on this new adventure. Moving across the country was one of the most daring, frightening, exciting, stretching and amazing experiences of our lives--our prayer is that these next few years will be formational in their marriage and that they will come back to us with stories of God's faithfulness. We can hardly wait for their "Welcome Home" party!
